Association Events Calendar 2024

The venue for many of the 2024 calendar events (unless otherwise stated) are again at Stretford Sports Village (in the new build in the grounds of the School, NOT at the Sports Centre itself, it's called the Talbot Centre), Greatstone Road, Stretford, Manchester, M32 0XA. The entrance is to the left of Arnold Clark Vauxhall dealer.
Three spaces will be used for our events;
Large events (Open courses etc.) - The SSV Main Sports Hall
Small Events (Dan Gradings/Senior grade courses) - The SSV Dance Studio (upstairs and to the right)
Meetings (AGM & Exec Committee) - The Meeting Room (upstairs and to the left)
Please note:
Most of the Open/Instructor Courses in 2024 will commence at 12pm (noon) and conclude at 3pm (3 hours)
- - EXCEPTIONS - -
The Extended Summer Course in June will run for 4 hours
and
The times for the course in March are later in the day.
- - Dan Gradings - -
Pre-Dan Grading Courses will commence at 10am and conclude at 3pm
Dan Gradings will commence at 10am and conclude at 4pm
Notes:
The venue listed above is to be used for many of our courses/seminars unless stated in a specific event entry (This may be subject to change and confirmation).
It is also been agreed that to start the Courses on time and get the most out of each session is for members to arrive ready to book in from 11:30am onwards. We will be booking people in and signing licences from that time onward either inside the door of the venue or upstairs on the balcony (TBC). If we can achieve this, then a prompt 12:00pm start will ensure a small comfort break will be worked into the course by Denis Casey Sensei (his discretion based on eventual start time).

Open to anybody 8 years and older and Orange Belt (7th Kyu) and above

This final Open/Instructors Course is to round off the year and reflect upon Dan Grades and everything learned throughout the year. It will offer the opportunity to take photographs and for any presentations of awards and/or titles.
